And I’ve talked about it all year. Boals & Co have gotta get out there and recruit shooters. But then again not just shooters but makers. All five positions have to be able to shoot the ball nowadays and we are lucky if we had one this year. He can have all the "makers" you want but if he doesn't run an offense with ball movement and get guys who also hustle on D and work together then all the "makers" in the world mean nothing. Although lower levels, the commonality of current targets is high shooting %’s, specifically 3PT. With so many spots to fill, I imagine we’ll see a blend of levels added. Nonetheless, it’s encouraging to see shooters being targeted early on. As good as Elmer was on Wednesday night, he was an absolutely frustrated mess yesterday. A season long 43% three point shooter went 0 for 7 with at least three of those never touching iron. Miami's cutting was blown up, screens fought through and muscled over so the back cuts, slips and mis directions were not there. Regardless of the pass which was definitely not available for a team that had moved the ball well all year.... very few teams had as many weapons as Miami this year. That was a bad match up for them. Apart from Suder they really did ot have anybody who could match physically what the exceptional Strength Coach from UT has created. never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Not to be argumentative (I would never, right?) but did you see Ole Miss who was 4-14 in the SEC cause havoc in the SEC tourney? Even the team that finished 4-14 in the SEC would have seriously mopped the floor with fiami. They have a 6-10/250 forward named Malik Dia that would have had a career day. Yes, UT was an elite defensive and rebounding team until they ran into Michigan who might just win it all.
