Article has multiple interesting points. The one that I found most fascinating was the last sentence:

"He began at Duquesne before transferring to San Diego State for his second season. He went from there to Northwest Florida State College for one season and transferred to Auburn for two seasons, where he helped the Tigers reach the Final Four in 2025."

At the risk of losing all BA credibility, I agree that this is the most fascinating part of this article, and that the chances that this student-athlete actually ever graduates is fairly close to "nil." (appologies to oldkatz)

He does have a degree.

And in fact, id venture to guess that the NIL will lead to more student athletes in revenue sports getting degrees, not fewer.

There's been two posts lately about kids staying in school too long. And the implication seems to be that's bad for. . .their education?

I would 100% agree with this if getting an education and a degree (or two) was the priority, or even a priority. While I'm sure that's the case for some athletes, I'm skeptical it is for most.

As for OCF, that BA credibility ship sailed a long time ago. . . about 15,500 posts ago.

I don't doubt that you are correct, but can you cite a source for that degree? The only reference I could find to a diploma was that he graduated from high school.
